What new movie is coming out from the Korean director who made history at the Oscars?

The popular Korean director Bong Joon-ho is returning with a new movie. The name of the movie is ‘Mickey 17’. This science fiction movie tells the story of a 17-year-old teenager named Mickey’s planetary expedition. It will premiere in the Out of Competition section of the 75th Berlin Film Festival.

The movie ‘Mickey 17’ is produced by Hollywood’s influential production company Warner Bros. In addition, Bong Joon-ho’s production company Offstrin is also there. The budget of the movie is 150 million dollars. The movie is based on the 2022 science fiction ‘Mickey-7’. The novel was written by Edward Ashton.

It is known that Mickey was sent on a dangerous mission. This Mickey died while searching for a satellite that had ice. Later, another copy was created like Mickey. Mickey’s memories were also given to this young man. It stars Toni Collette, Robert Pattinson, and Steve Yeon.

After winning the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, the Korean film ‘Parasite’ set a record at the Oscars in 2019. It was the first international language film to win the Best Picture Oscar. It also won four Oscars, including International Language. Korean director Bong Joon-ho has not been seen since that film.
